This presentation asseses the sustainability of human habitats in India by first defining sustainability, then identifying ways of achieving and enhancing sustainability; approaches to planning for sustainability; and finally by measuring sustainability in terms of parameters and indicators. The report serves as a framework for guiding development processes at city level.
