The Vision of the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) is to usher in a green building movement in India and for India to become one of the world leaders in green buildings by 2015. The IGBC addresses various elements of developing Green Townships, such as Inclusiveness, Urban Transportation, Waste Management, Efficient Energy & Water Infrastructure and Local Biodiversity to raise the quality of Life and Standard of Living.
