Canyon Erosion Control has done extensive work in dam building and rainwater catchment. In order to avoid rain water run off and the washing away of fertile topsoil an extensive damn system has been develop in the canyons around Auroville. Rainwater is cached and stored behind dams from where it can percolate into the ground to recharge the local aquifers. Contact:
